A highly sought-after public-relations consultant and founder of KMComms, Katharine Manson works mostly with notable food, beverage, lifestyle, and philanthropic brands. With 10 years of experience working in restaurant operations and over 20 as a marketing and media-relations specialist, her unique skill-set anchors creative, meaningful public relations strategies.

Katharine Manson started KMComms in 2012 with a sincere desire to promote cultural catalysts. The heart and soul of Katharine’s work is her pursuit of authenticity. Her vision: to create meaningful and sincere relationships with risk-takers, disruptors, and pioneers to share their stories in creative and transparent ways. Katharine has built a reputation for being genuinely invested in the success of her clients while helping them to achieve their PR goals.
Holding a three-year diploma in graphic design, gives Katharine an in-depth understanding of the nuances of brand identity. She is able to capture the essence of a business and share it through her thoughtful approach toward communications, connecting people, and building relationships.
Katharine was named one of Vancouver Magazine’s Premier Crew at the 2010 Restaurant Awards. With a diverse background in PR, marketing and restaurant operations, she has collaborated with many trailblazing restaurateurs and chefs. Previously, she served as the Director of Media Relations for two prestigious Canadian boutique hotel properties managed by Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, located in Whistler and Vancouver.
Fresh Roots Urban Farm Society, Growing Chefs, East Van Roasters, Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House, BC Hospitality Foundation, Les Dames d’Escoffier - BC Chapter, Project Limelight, are some of the notable charitable, non-profit, and social-enterprise organizations with which she has volunteered her time and skills.
